Helping African kids

Posted by Go West Tours
· Friday, April 6th, 2018

Helping kids in Africa has always been on Go West Operations Manager Justin Miller’s bucket list.

In December last year Justin joined a two week challenge in Africa to help renovate facilities for orphaned children in Kenya.

Justin and fellow volunteers renovated an old homestead purchased by charity On Heart, to accommodate more than 20 children. The team also built a small nursery classroom.

“I’ve always wanted to do something like this and contribute to improving situations in places of great need like Africa,” Justin said.

“It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and very rewarding and it was great to make a difference in some way.”

Go West head office upgrade

Posted by Go West Tours
· Friday, March 30th, 2018

The car park at Go West Tour’s head office in Bunbury has undergone a long-awaited upgrade with newly painted workshop floors and new security fencing installed.

The front yard has been a gravel surface since the depot opened about 10 years ago, which sometimes resulted in an uneven surface and puddles in some areas during winter.

The upgrade to the head office car park follows improvements to the Karratha, Newman and Port Hedland depots and will be extended to all depots in WA.
