A new home for Bunbury Soup Van!

Bunbury Soup Van has been given a new home, after the charity was announced as the recipient of Go West Tour’s main sponsorship.

Go West Tours has donated free use of its kitchen, building and parking facilities at its Denning Road depot, which will allow the charity to establish a new base with meeting rooms, storage and security and prepare food for distribution.

“One of our staff members, Rebecca Seinemeier, heard that the Bunbury Soup Van urgently needed a new premises and brought it to my attention,” said Go West Tours General Manager David Haoust. “Our depot was not being used, so we were very happy to provide them with a new home.”

Bunbury Soup Van President Denise Ladhams said the Bunbury Soup Van needed a new home when its old premises was leased.

“We moved in just in time to sort out all of our donations and hampers for Christmas, so it’s been really beneficial. It has everything we need and the building and yard is able to be locked up, so we know everything is safe,” Denise said.

The Bunbury Soup Van delivers soup and bread to up to 60 people every weekend and is run by volunteers.
