“An Exhilarating Trip through a Rugged Interior”

DAY 1 Depart school 7.30am. Travel via the Midlands Road to Bindoon. Here we turn off and travel thru some interesting farmland to Mogumber and Moora. After a short break we continue thru wheatbelt country to Carnamah (lunch) and Mingenew. Out thru the Coalseam Ranges (WA’s first coal discovery) for our overnight bush camp.

DAY 2 Today we travel to Mullewa (supplies, showers & historic church) and Yalgoo for lunch. Visit an interesting museum before setting off thru station country to Chinaman’s Rock, Boat Rock, and Gnamma Holes then it’s on to Austin Downs Station for our overnight bush camp under the stars

DAY 3 This morning we pack up camp and head for Walga Rock where we spend the morning exploring the Aboriginal Rock paintings & a walk over the top of this unique site. Into Cue for Lunch and a brief Town Tour before heading for Mt Magnet for our overnight camp at Station Homestead and a nice hot shower.

DAY 4 The morning is spent learning all about Station Life before we travel across to Paynes Find for Lunch and a visit to the historical State Battery. Our final nights’ camp is at White Wells. (Bush Camp with a Campfire Concert)

DAY 5 Return to Perth on the Great Northern Highway via Wubin and Dalwallinu. Lunch at New Norcia where we visit the Museum and Art Gallery. Arrive back at School approx. 3.00pm.



5 Day Camping Tour

“The Adventure of a Lifetime”

DAY 1 Depart school at 7.30am. Travel via the Brand Highway through Cataby, Dongara, Geraldton where we visit the Maritime Museum before continuing onto Kalbarri. Setting up camp, we explore our surroundings.

DAY 2 A Full Day of Adventures on our exciting *Batavia Coast. Travel in 4WD’s to Lucky Bay where you learn Sand Boarding, have fun on a sand dune Treasure Hunt, Snorkeling, see sheep dogs and Clydesdales work, hear ghost stories while eating lunch under a Coolibah tree. [Horse Trail Ride an alternative – they DO carry insurance].

DAY 3 Today you can thrill to the exhilaration that *Abseiling gives you (full instruction given before jump). A very full morning with a late lunch before we take our Island Hop across to the far shore to try out Sand Carving and other beach activities – a leisurely afternoon.

DAY 4 Early rise for our *Canoeing Trip, we leave at 8am in 4WD’s traveling upstream where we commence our paddle back to town (life jackets supplied). 4WD’s follow along the river bank where further down stream we stop for a break, then it’s back in the water with a leisurely paddle back to Kalbarri (approx. 11.30am). After lunch we pack & clean up camp and head for Greenough, stopping off in Geraldton for a look around town and to do some Souvenir Shopping. Last night of camp for concert.

DAY 5 After a hearty breakfast we head for home arriving back at school at approximately 3.00pm.



5 Day Camping Tour

“View the Splendor of the Murchison Gorges”

DAY 1 Depart school at 7.30am. Travel the Brand Highway via Cataby and Dongara to Geraldton. On arrival we tour the Maritime Museum before we set up camp right on the beach.

DAY 2 With Kalbarri our destination, we visit Hawks Head Gorge. On arriving in Kalbarri we set up camp then have lunch. This afternoon we visit the unique Rainbow Jungle to see rare birds of the world.

DAY 3 This morning is spent doing boating activities on the river (life jackets supplied). After lunch we journey out to the spectacular Red Bluff and Mushroom Gorges where we go walking to view this unusual coastline.

DAY 4 We pack up and head for Greenough, stopping at Geraldton to view the town highlights. We lunch at Greenough Wildlife Park (hands on with work sheets provided) before setting up camp. (Hall at Caravan Park).

DAY 5 Return to Perth along the Brand Highway, via Cataby, arriving back at school at approx. 3.00pm.



5 Day Camping Tour

“Wonder at the Wealth of this City in the Sun”

DAY 1 Depart school at 7.00am, we travel to New Norcia for a guided tour of the Museum and Art Gallery. We continue on to Carnamah (lunch) and Mingenew then across to Dongara where we set up camp.

DAY 2 This morning we head for Geraldton and the Maritime Museum followed by a town tour before our lunch at Beach Park. After lunch we board a boat for a Harbour Cruise (Calm Officer gives talk) and visit the Sea Lion Colony. From there we have a guided tour of the Wharf (Harbour Master gives talk).

DAY 3 Today we start with a visit to either the Greenough Hamlet OR the Greenough Pioneer Museum and Cemetery. From here we go to the Greenough Wildlife Park where we try some hands-on activities with all the animals (work sheets) and have lunch. This afternoon we take a scenic drive to Walkaway and inspect the Railway Station Museum (work sheets).

DAY 4 A Day at Camp – Sporting and/or Beach Activities & Preparation for the last nights Concert. Maybe do some study on what they have seen and done and some leisure time. The day is yours.

DAY 5 Pack up camp and head for home. Return to Perth along the Brand Highway, via Cataby, arriving back at school at approximately 3.00pm.
