Go West Tours’ latest state-of-the-art coach will be emblazoned with a new name after a competition was run to celebrate its arrival.

Irik Newman from WA’s South West won a $100 restaurant voucher at a venue of his choice for coming up with “Red Dirt Dreaming”.

Go West Tours received a raft of entries to name the new coach after it launched a competition through its website and Facebook page.

General Manager David Haoust said “Red Dirt Dreaming” was a big hit with the judging panel.

“It really depicts the Australian landscape and the terrain in which we will be operating the bus for mine tours in the Pilbara,” David said.

“It also signifies our relationship with the Indigenous people of the area and underlines our commitment to engage more Indigenous people into our business.

“We thought it was a great name, so well done to Irik for his creativity.”

The bus is equipped with the latest technology in passenger comfort and design, including climate control and cruise control options.
