Two new 7000sqm depots are under construction in Port Hedland and Newman to meet the capacity of Go West Tours’ expanding operations.

The new depots are more than double the size of the existing premises in each town, which are around 3000sqm, and will each be able to house 60 coaches, new offices and accommodation facilities.

Go West has bought the Port Hedland land, situated next to the existing depot and signed a 25 year lease for the Newman depot at the airport. The current depot is located in the light industrial area.

Go West Tours General Manager David Haoust said the construction of new depots reflected the company’s commitment to the towns and the confidence it had in the future growth of its operations.

“This is an important development which will enable us to increase capacity to service the needs of our clients,” David said.

“We look forward to them becoming operational in March 2013.”
