A number of ageing buses in Go West’s fleet have been sold in keeping with the company’s values of aligning costs to revenue.
The management team and Bus Procurement and Sales Specialist Graeme Grimes have analysed the fleet to ensure only vehicles which deliver maximising return are retained.
Vehicles were assessed based on utilisation of equipment, cost of repair, future market trends and what could be sold as a profit in a declining economy.
“We have some of the most knowledgeable people in the industry who understand future trends and the vehicles which produce an income, and this in conjunction with a good industry reputation for quality repairs and maintenance has attracted a good market for the old vehicles in our fleet,” said General Manager David Haoust.
