Go West has worked with BHP to roll out new bus passenger scanning technology at BHP sites.
The technology provides a 24/7 real time bus passenger manifest so in the event of an incident, there is a record of passengers. It also assists BHP with contact tracing for COVID-19 if needed.
The Go West tours maintenance team in Newman installed the card reading devices and the operations team worked with BHP’s technical team to link the software to the BHP network.
People travelling on the buses simply use their access cards to swipe on and off when travelling on the buses.
