Running the longest bus service in WA

Almost three years on and Go West driver Moses Chellem is still enjoying driving Western Australia’s longest public bus service.

Moses drives the Go West bus which is contracted to operate the PTA’s bus run from Dampier to Point Sampson and return – a 180km round trip.

The service runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, providing an important transport link for Wickham and Roebourne residents who rely on it to get to medical appointments and to access the major shops and services in Karratha.

“For many people, it’s the only way they can get into Karratha so this is a very important service in the Pilbara,” said Depot Manager Kane Walker.

“Moses has a really good relationship with his passengers, many of who are regulars and has become a bit of a folk hero with them all.”
